Agecotel Bakery : Traditional French Baguette Competition Crowns Champions in Nice: In the grand culmination of the Agecotel exhibition, the Federation of Master Bakers and Pastry Chefs of the Alpes-Maritimes (06), under the leadership of President Mr. Gilles Dutto, orchestrated a highly anticipated event: the competition to identify the crème de la crème of traditional French baguettes in the region.

The participation numbers once again soared, with an impressive lineup of 30 candidates passionately vying for the prestigious title. This robust turnout is a testament to the continually growing enthusiasm that surrounds this annual event.

The showcased products set a new standard for the competition, elevating the culinary experience for the discerning palates of spectators who have come to expect nothing less than excellence from this essential gathering.

A distinguished jury, featuring Mr. Thomas Subrin, Best Craftsman of France in bakery, Mr. Philippe Philmar, instructor at the CFA de Carros, and Mr. Philippe Courtois, meticulously presided over the deliberations.

The deserving winners of this high-stakes competition are:

  • Maxime Michineau from Le Patio in Roquebrune Cap Martin
  • Armin Adjari from L’Atelier Bio du Pain in Saint-André-la-Roche
  • Mathieu Dupuy from Chez Ma’mie in Tourrettes-sur-Loup

We extend our hearty congratulations to these skilled artisans, as well as to all the other finalists who showcased their exceptional talents.

The event's success was further enhanced by the generosity of our partners - Solution Boul Pat, Grands Moulins de Paris, Nicot Meunerie, Les Moulins Engagés, Minoterie Forest, Moulin Céard, and MAPA Assurances - who generously rewarded the winners.

Symbolic of the spirit of giving, the competition's baguettes were handed over to the Civil Protection of the Alpes-Maritimes for distribution during their evening patrols, showcasing the community's commitment to generosity and solidarity.

Simultaneously, throughout the day, Grands Moulins de Paris animated their booth with visually appealing and delectable products, pleasing the taste buds of the event's visitors.

In summary, this French Traditional Baguette Competition not only celebrated outstanding craftsmanship but also highlighted the unwavering passion that defines the community of bakers and pastry chefs in the Alpes-Maritimes.
