The World Travel Market in 2023 is set to expand by 20% compared to the 2022 event

Approximately 14% of exhibitor bookings are from newcomers. In contrast to the figures from before the pandemic (2019), there has been a 23% increase in the number of private sector exhibitors, a 27% increase in African exhibitors, a 10% increase in Caribbean exhibitors, and a remarkable 60% surge in representation from the Middle East region. World Travel Market London 2023, considered the most influential travel and tourism event globally, has enlisted over 14% of new exhibitors, spanning from well-known brands to specialized companies and niche labels.

These new exhibitors will constitute around 4,000 participants at ExCeL London from November 6th to 8th, where they will come together to exchange ideas, foster innovation, and propel their businesses.

Notable newcomers for this year's event include Eurostar, the high-speed international rail service connecting the UK to mainland Europe, and ABBA Voyage, a live concert hosted in London with virtual 'Abbatars.'

Also making their debut is the Bermuda Tourism Authority, which is attending WTM London to showcase its culture, heritage, cuisine, wellness, and sustainability offerings.

Other tourism boards making their inaugural appearance at WTM London hail from diverse destinations such as Sabah, promoting travel to northern Borneo in Malaysia, and Almaty, the largest city in Kazakhstan.

From Asia, other new exhibitors include Ayana Hospitality, offering luxury resorts and hotels in Indonesia, and Vietnam's Thien Minh Group, showcasing a wide array of services, including destination management, hospitality, online solutions, and aviation.

The rapidly growing global online travel agency, Trip.com Group, will be present to target growth within the European market, while the UK-based package holiday specialist, HolidayBest, will promote its extensive range of worldwide destinations and vacation styles.

Additional new exhibitors will be arriving from Turkey, including the Turkish travel agency association TURSAB, and Salkantay Trekking from Peru, a leading tour operator offering treks and adventure tours to Machu Picchu.

In the technology zone, delegates will have the opportunity to meet new tech exhibitors such as search marketing agency Vertical Leap and payment specialist flywire, which made its debut at WTM Africa this year and is now making an appearance at WTM London.

Jamari Douglas, VP Marketing & Communications at Bermuda Tourism Authority, expressed:

"We are incredibly thrilled to return to WTM London 2023, bigger and better than ever before. As the leading international travel event, there is no better platform for us to showcase our unique island, and we look forward to sharing our latest updates and offerings with the industry, along with fresh perspectives from the organization's first female CEO, Tracy Berkeley.

"Our presence at WTM reaffirms our commitment to strengthening Bermuda's presence in the UK market, as demonstrated by our ongoing investments, such as our recent House of Bermuda event and brand-new Lost Yet Found Campaign.

"The UK is our third-largest market after the US and Canada, and we are extremely confident that Bermuda will take its place on the global stage as a leading tourism destination."

Eurostar Group, formed by the merger of Eurostar and European operator Thalys last year, will be at WTM to showcase its services along with its new branding and livery.

Paul Brindley, Eurostar B2B & Indirect Sales Director, said:

"We are excited to be at WTM in 2023 with our new Eurostar brand, envisioning growth and providing high-speed rail connectivity throughout Northern Europe to 30 million passengers by 2030!

"It's an exciting time for sustainable rail travel, and with our new distribution tools, we are looking forward to meeting existing and new partners from around the world and continuing to build strong ethical partnerships."

ABBA Voyage, launched in May 2022, is now booking until May 26th, 2024.

Bernie Patry-Makin, Travel Trade Manager at ABBAVoyage.com, commented:

"We are excited to exhibit at WTM London 2023. It offers us a fantastic opportunity to present the spectacular ABBA Voyage to a large community of international travel and tourism industry buyers. We look forward to meeting with both old and new clients over the course of the three days."

Juliette Losardo, Exhibition Director at World Travel Market London, remarked:

"We are delighted to welcome new exhibitors to this year's event, including major destinations and well-established international brands, as well as niche operators and high-tech companies.

"They have all recognized their role in the world's most influential travel and tourism event.

The list of new exhibitors, along with the thousands returning to our stands, underscores how we bring the global travel community together to shape the future of the industry.

Buyers attending WTM London can meet new and established clients, finalize business deals, and be inspired by fresh ideas for 2024 and beyond."
