Sanremo 2026: Sal Da Vinci Wins, Will Represent Italy at Eurovision

The 76th edition of the Sanremo Festival concluded after four hours of intense musical entertainment, full of surprises. The winner of this year’s edition is Sal Da Vinci with his song “Per Sempre Sì”, who will also have the honor of representing Italy at Eurovision 2026 in Vienna.

A Nail-Biting Super-Finale

Sal Da Vinci’s victory was extremely close, winning by just 0.03% over Sayf. The super-final results were determined by a combined vote of the press/web/TV jury (33%), the radio jury (33%), and the Italian televote (34%), along with the average results from the earlier festival nights.

The super-final top five:

Sal Da Vinci – Per Sempre Sì: 22.2%

Sayf – Tu mi piaci tanto: 21.9%

Ditonellapiaga – Che fastidio!: 20.6%

Arisa – Magica favola: 18.9%

Fedez & Masini – Male necessario: 16.5%

These results highlight the extremely tight competition, with Sal Da Vinci narrowly edging out his competitors by only a fraction of a percent, reflecting the intense audience engagement this year.

Sal Da Vinci to Eurovision

At the winner’s press conference, Sal Da Vinci confirmed he will participate in Eurovision 2026, honoring his commitment made before the festival began. This follows the precedent from last year when Olly, winner of Sanremo 2025, declined the opportunity, allowing Lucio Corsi, who had finished fifth, to represent Italy in Basel.

A Song That Captivates

“Per Sempre Sì” captivates audiences with its emotion and vocal power, winning the hearts of both Italian and international viewers. This victory also underscores Sal Da Vinci’s enduring popularity and significance in the Italian music scene.
